Superbright LEDs test
Anyways, I retrofitted my 55g lighting system a while back, switching from 2x 15 watt flourescent tubes to 4x 13w cfls. I have been pleased with the lights, but they do burn out rather quickly. I noticed that LEDs have been getting cheaper as of late, so I thought "what the heck, I'll try some LEDs for my tank"
So, I just ordered 1 LED bulb from superbrightleds.com. I've had good luck with them in the past for car leds, so that's why i went with them. Its a 45w equivalent, but all of the light will be directed down, as opposed to 360degrees.
I'll let you know how it works, or doesn't work. If it works good, it would be a compelling product @ $24.99.
